Welcome To The Nourish & Nurture Newsletter!
I’m so glad to have you here with me. Keep reading to learn some more about me and what I do

Hi there! Some of you reading this may already know me, but some of you may be brand new to the Well Fed Feeding Family. I’m Lauren Thompson, owner and operator of Well Fed Feeding and Swallowing Therapy. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and mom of two daughters. I have 12 years of clinical experience and have previously worked in local hospital outpatient clinics, Specialty Care Nursery (Level II NICU), and Level III NICU.
I transitioned out of working in a hospital outpatient clinic to start my private practice in 2022 because I was tired of seeing stressed families struggle to keep up with scheduling their child’s feeding therapy appointments, organizing all the food and gear needed for the appointments, and remembering what I told them to work on once they got home.
I knew there had to be a better way of doing feeding therapy. I decided that I wanted to open my own practice that offered feeding therapy in clients' homes and focused on supporting, educating, and building the confidence of families.
Who Do I Work With?
My practice has an option for every family. For clients experiencing dysphagia (a swallowing disorder), pediatric feeding disorder, or needing lactation support, Well Fed Feeding and Swallowing Therapy offers one-on-one feeding therapy in clients' homes within a 20-mile radius of Londonderry, New Hampshire, as well as visits at my Londonderry office, and telehealth sessions.

I also offer general feeding support packages for expecting moms and new parents of infants 0-6 months. These packages provide families with access to expert support throughout all of their exciting (and sometimes scary!) feeding developmental milestones in the first year. I vividly remember each new feeding transition with both of my daughters. I was so nervous, wondering if they were getting enough to eat, if I was doing something wrong, and if what they were doing and eating was appropriate for their age. I received mixed messages from family, friends, and social media about the “right” way to feed my daughters… and that was all while being an SLP!
My experience is not unique.
My phone is always alerting me to text messages from friends who are expecting or who just had a baby, with questions about feeding their baby and videos of their infant feeding, asking me if it is normal. Well Fed Feeding provides a space for evidence-based information about feeding your child that is also judgment-free! All I ask is that you feed your child SOMETHING. That can be breastfeeding, bottle feeding, tube feeding, spoon feeding, baby-led weaning, or whatever else you can think of!
Are you an expecting parent or new parent who is looking for expert support provide you, your family, and your infant with feeding peace of mind? Look no further.

Want to hang out and learn together from afar?
I totally get it.
Sometimes it’s easier to learn at your own pace while scrolling on your phone. Maybe you don’t need feeding support or therapy right now. No worries! Follow me on social media and let me know what you want to learn about.
Stay Calm, Stay Kind, Stay Well Fed
See you next time!
Lauren
